Born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa, Ashley Sartell has been dancing for over 20 years. She has trained in ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, hip hop, pointe, pom, and high kick techniques. At a young age, she found a deep love in choreography and has been invested in furthering that practice since. Sartell attended California Institute of the Arts where she achieved her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance with a minor in Science & Math in December 2021. While learning and exploring as a student, Sartell discovered her passion in studying Dance Film and Countertechnique. 

Since graduating, Sartell has found joy in sharing her love and knowledge of dance. Teaching has become an important part of her career. 

Sartell has worked with renowned choreographers such as Rosanna Tavarez, Taylor Donofrio, Rosie Herrera, Andre Tyson, sam wentz, Bridgette Dunn-Korpela, and more.
